there have been things that have gotten me to thinking about a marriage where the man doesnt really fill the shoes he is ordained to fill ... the head of household. mind you that i have had one previous marriage and he was certainly not one who should be considered an HOH; he was nothing more than a liability ... having to drag the man's butt through life. nearly 30 years later, i am still paying the price for making such a bad choice. i know there are marriages out there where the man is NOT in charge and the relationship is basically a happy one. but, i am talking about those of us who know the power, blessing and truth of having our man lead us ... what if he didnt? what would life be like?
i think about all the ways that i would drift .. like a sail boat without the sails. it is rather frightening. as a woman that has been falling, lost her way a few years ago, i know if i am allowed to lead, i will lead him into the fog with me. but, more than that, what about him? i know that this leading and following isnt all about where he leads me ... its also about the following that gives him courage to lead.
to me, it means that i lose ground. fall victim to myself. in my mind, to have a man who steps up to fill the shoes of my leader - REGARDLESS of how i respond - is to be protected from the world, my spiritual enemy .. and even myself. it means that i will finally be able to overcome the obstacles that have deterred me from becoming who i was intended to be because the warrior in my life insists on my overcoming!
just some thoughts. at this point, i am not sure if i am dreaming or if this can actually be reality.

There are times when Dragon is unable to lead. I can tell you that I feel lost. It is frightening. In those times, I turn to the Heavenly Father. He guides my ship to a safe harbor.
